As far as execution goes, this game is fantastic. Aesthetically, it's amazing as well! This idea is super cool and unique.

Before playing I had all these ideas in my head about what this game was going to be like. I didn't expect it to kinda have a "narrative" in sense, as vague as it may be. I thought it'd be almost Observation Dute esque in the sense that we'd be exploring the world through a map app looking for subtle creepy things.

Of course, just because it's not what I thought it'd be doesn't mean it's bad lol. Like I said at first, I love the aesthetics, gameplay, and the unique idea. I think you nailed it.

Thanks for making it!

such a fun game!

I will forever hate Map Friend and I never want to play this game again.

Very cool and creepy. Not sure I fully understood what was happening but was very disturbed!

you know, the ending is basically a recurring dream I have, creeped out

Full Playthrough NO Commentary

idk that plot Really confused at the end

The game's got a pretty neat concept. I like how the "horror" in the game revolved more around the ambience and the text that you'd have to read, instead of throwing unnecessary jumpscares everywhere.

💀GAME WAS CRAZYYY💀

This was a great horror Game Really Scary

And i Love the fact that it was based off a true event And your playing as one of the people there I just loved the heck out of It

Honestly one of the most chilling indie games I've ever played... the atmosphere was so well done, Loved it!

The Google Maps horror game we've needed for so long!  Brings back memories of the eerie feelings I got while browsing it.

The idea is good, but I think it was very poorly used to be honest.

did i was the only one getting an Windows defend warning?

yeah cause its a bare exe file itll give you a false postive. Its not a virus

I really enjoyed this game! Very interesting mechanics, overall very scary and unique. Well done!

Wow! The game looks great! I can't wait to play it.

this is awesome

Google Maps (THE HORROR GAME)

Loved the vhs effect keep it up!

I hope they keep moving the game forward, it has great potential, and it's scary and uncomfortable without the need for any screamers or the use of gore.

I hope they make this delivery longer, at least I leave with a good taste in my mouth from this work of art

Yet another original and charming game by Adam Pype! I can't say I've seen anyone else create a sort of retro alternate universe google maps horror game, so this must be the first. Great attention to retro authenticity with the fake OS and dithering effects

I usually have some kind of criticism, but I honestly can't come up with anything. The story is pretty surface level horror, but it's fine for how short it is. I think maybe player street level movement should be more limited, because I ended up walking a very long way before I realized I could just use the map

I streamed the game here (3:05:38)

I absolutely love this game! At the end of the game, it became very ominous and chilling. I love the concept as well, props to the developer(s)!

A fantastic game. We absolutely need more unique games like this. The world building through hints in the locations were masterfully done. Just wish it had been longer

Why can't you just let me read the thing at the end. Not very scary if I can't even read it. Fun game tho

It's a game with quite the unnerving atmosphere, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Really liked the concept, the gameplay and the feel of the game! The way the story hiddenly starts off the dark story is done well, and then it becomes a lot more abrupt and scary; it was very fun and done well!

The graphics, the sounds and even the actual computer animation that turned the in game screen a little was super cool and also meshed together to make it that much more immersive and a super fun game and experience!

Only wished there was more, a great job was done on the game and hope the next project goes well!

i loved it, it is a really good game, i loved the 2008-2010 vibes that it gives, and it was so creepy, keep it up! :D

something stops the game from opening (it says its a virus)  any tips on how to fix this? (i tried running as admin and it didnt work)

it did the same for me, i extracted it to a new folder and it worked just fine! hope u can play it too

i cant even extract it

love this game and it has alot of attention to detail. the cords that appear actually shows up on google maps. I am only disappointed one thing, it leaves me begging for more. so dev please tell us more on this pilot's story. final thing is that its not a cheap scare, it has great buildup unlike alot of modern horrors now.

I just realized this is the guys who made No Players Online. why shouldn't I be surprised it has the same quality and style

This is one of the best horror experiences I've had on itch. There are no "cheap" jumpscares here; just pure, unnerving psychological horror. The ambiance is wonderfully haunting. I'd love to see this idea fleshed out into a short game, as the demo already does so much in just ten minutes and could be expanded upon further into something more memorable than it already is.

i would love for this to be expanded upon and turned into a full game please make this happen

good game 10/10

This is a really nice little game! I love the graphic style and the game does a great job of creating a tense, ominous atmosphere!

Nice Game, i enjoyed it ^^

Honestly didn't expect too much from this game, but I had a blast playing it! The uniqueness stands out the most, and it's a cool horror experience! I do suggest adding moving people, or other scary stuff, when you visit the locations. I feel like that would make it even more scary! But other than that, good job dev :)
