What I would like to be added is correction paper so you can erase your mistakes.
Yessss, I found myself constantly rewriting a whole page because I forgot to hit space or hit one of the letters too many times.
It's a typewriter, you can't erase a mistake in a typewriter
You can, with correction paper or a whiteout. Therefore, there should be appropriate simulation of those in this app.

Uh, there's no 1 key... I've never used a typewriter, so I don't know if this was intentional or not. You can use an l in place of a 1, though.
Most typewriters don't have a 1 key - this is because, as you've discovered, lower-case L is a fine substitute.

The 1 key was "useless" because, to gain in rapidity, people write I987 with an "i" upercase. It's faster to write I9xx than 19xx.
